A few of the designers we carry come from artistic backgrounds rather than formal fashion studies. These designers are inspired by the art they create and even incorporate their art into their pieces.

Our founder and jewelry designer, Elizabeth Adams, is the child of two artists, and has a background of art and architecture. Jewelry design was a natural evolution from the creative therapy of painting after the loss of her youngest child from a brain tumor in 2007.
Erin, founder and designer of Omika, began her career as a graphic designer. Her graphic design training can be seen through her unique patterns on gorgeous fabrics. We have enjoyed partnering with her on designs like the Willora dress over the past four years.
Emerson Fry, the founder and designer behind India Collection, is an artist who ventured into fashion. Her hand drawn illustrations now feature on graphic tees and garment tags.
Heidi, founder and designer of La Plage, began her career as a jewelry designer. Her attention to detail from her jewelry designing days can be seen in the garments she designs.
Seema Kahai is a trained interior designer with a thriving design business who ventured into fashion at the urging of Donna Karan. Her attention to detail and her love of beautifully handloomed fabrics is evident in each of her garments.
